VIVO provides an integrated view of the scholarly work of an organization. A big part of that picture is postdoctoral associates and graduate students who are laying the foundations for their careers and their contributions to research. In order to make that contribution more visible, and to provide them with a portable record of their early career achievements, a framework to help them to create and curate their growing scholarly profile is essential. A VIVO-ORCID integration helps both these systems, and other research management systems linked to them, to better serve the scholarly community.
