AMM - temporary unavailable plus some updates

NOTE :

The AGRIS team will not continue the maintenance of the AgriMetaMaker (AMM) and the service can no longer be accessed.

If you want to contribute your records from a journal or institutional repository to AGRIS, please write to: [email protected]

The AMM has been widely used during the last year and AGRIS received and indexed approximately 1200 records from the 40 users accessing the web form. It proved to be an efficient method for creating and indexing (using AGROVOC) journals’ articles references and, where applicable, some users have even abandoned library systems (such as WebAGRIS) and opted for this easier and smoother means to generate metadata to be indexed at http://agris.fao.org.

I take this opportunity to kindly ask you to read the updated AGRIS portal pages - the DOAJ and OJS section in particular, at http://agris.fao.org/brief-guide-content-providers. AGRIS is already harvesting and indexing data from big service providers such as DOAJ and SciELO, for example. If you already index your data in one of these two systems, for example, you will simply need to send us the same XML data as delivered to these channels.

Same thing if your journal uses the Open Journal System (OJS): you are already enabled to export directly data in different standard formats, such as DOAJ, METS and PubMed XML, which are already accepted by AGRIS.
