RESTful API available to access and use the CHAIN-REDS Semantic Search Engine

The CHAIN-REDS project has just released an RESTful API to access its Semantic Search Engine. The API allows to get and reuse the millions of open access resources contained  in the CHAIN-REDS Knowledge Base and stored in a Virtuoso RDF-compliant database.

From now on, everybody interested in getting and/or re-using the many millions of open access resources contained in the CHAIN-REDS Knowledge Base and stored in a Virtuoso RDF-compliant database can use the API to call the Semantic Search Engine from their own websites or mobile applications.

Instructions and examples about how to use the Semantic Search Engine API are available at the page:

http://www.chain-project.eu/semantic-search-api

This development has been done in the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between CHAIN-REDS and agINFRA projects and will help federating and "mashing up" linked data belonging to different data providers and even to different disciplines.

The CHAIN-REDS Semantic Search Engine is also available as a web-based application and it has recently been integrated in the agINFRA Science Gateway allowing parallel searches across the resources contained in the CHAIN-REDS Knowledge Base and in the OpenAgris repository.
