Kerry Albright is a Senior Agricultural Research Analyst at the Department for International Development (DFID) of the United Kingdom. In this interview with Agro-Know, Kerry retraces the Global Open Data for Agriculture and Nutrition (GODAN) initiative. GODAN was conceived as a concept after the G8 International Conference on Open Data for Agriculture, held in Washington D.C., USA in mid-2013 and was established at the Open Government Partnership Summit in London on October 31, 2013.

GODAN seeks to support global efforts to make agricultural and nutritional relevant data available, accessible, and usable for unrestricted use worldwide. Kerry is one of the driving forces behind GODAN and sheds light on its aims and objectives in this interview.
