IAALD’s mission
IAALD was formed in 1955 in Ghent, Belgium and its mission is to enable its members to create, capture, access and disseminate information to achieve a more productive and sustainable use of the world’s land, water, and renewable natural resources.
What does IAALD do?
- IAALD connects a growing community of professionals from more than 75 countries - all with a strong interest in agricultural information and knowledge management.
- IAALD collaborates with members and many other partner organisations to facilitate learning opportunities.
- IAALD communicates and advocates the value of knowledge and information sharing.
- IAALD convenes agricultural information professionals worldwide through face-to-face meetings and social networking opportunities.
IAALD has held a World Congress every 5 years and numerous regional conferences. It has also sponsored workshops and educational events in many countries and has been a major publisher in Agricultural Information.
