Looking at the CIARD Web Ring site, we have the services and the standards, but no directory for tools. Then when we look at the AIMS we have Directory of tools that have standards, but have nothing on tools used for Content Management or Repository development e.g. DRUPAL, DSPACE and EPrints. I believe there is need for a Central Directory of tools with the description of each tool, where best to use each tool and good documentation of implementing and set of the tools. This would greatly help individuals in any part of the world interested in developing a repository or manager content to have expert advise on the tools and how best to use them. We could have "Featured examples" where these tools have been used and best practised.
