The "International Oceanographic Data and Information Exchange" (IODE) of the "Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission" (IOC) of UNESCO is set to host the “International Ocean Data Conference 2022 - The Data We Need for the Ocean We Want” on 14-16 February 2022. The Conference will be held as a hybrid event, allowing those able to travel, to  participate in-person in Sopot, Poland; while others will have the opportunity to  participate remotely online.

During this conference, many presenters will discuss how the regional, national and global data systems will continue to be shaped by ever-evolving user needs; and what technology is available to further improve products and services needed in the scientific community. Even more, it will be noted how IOC’s IODE is contributing to the  UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development and its global network of data and information centres in reaching new user communities.

In order to make practical arrangements for all participants, the local organizing committee is asking for interested participants to fill out a brief survey here. For planning purposes, it is asked that interested participants fill out the survey by 28 May, 2021

More information and the provisional programme of the Conference is available here
