Ivorian agricultural scientists set up a common system to open up research
Good news for Open Access in Cote d’Ivoire. More than a dozen agricultural research institutes in Côte d'Ivoire have decided to open up access to their research results and set up a national database of research results and technologies.
Improve the communication of research results to farmers
The aim is to improve the communication of research results to farmers. This common system of information and communication on agricultural technologies should lead to increase the uptake of new and existing technologies and research findings, and eventually to boost the agricultural production.
A committee will be created to manage the platform and each participating research institute will be provided with a communication officer to support the project.
