 The AIMS team is pleased to announce the webinar "KOHA the first open-source Intergrated Library System (ILS): An overview of its functions".

The webinar will present KOHA open-source Integrated Library System (ILS) in managing library resources. This webinar will provide an overview of the features of the KOHA software and attendees will have an insight of the prowess of the software in adding value to library services.

The webinar addresses (agricultural) researchers, librarians, information management specialists, software developers, (agricultural) journal editors, related data providers and other interested people.

About the webinar

The objective of this webinar is to provide an overview of KOHA and its solution packs for the management of library resources. KOHA is built using library standards and protocols such as MARC 21, UNIMARC, z39.50, SRU/SW, SIP2, RDA, ensuring interoperability between KOHA and other systems and technologies. (KOHA uses a MySQL relational database. KOHA is used worldwide by libraries of different shapes and sizes and is available in different languages.

The webinar will present KOHA as example of an Integrated Library System (ILS), the benefits of being using the software and overview of the software and what possibilities it offers.
