12/04/2017

As you may already know, Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) of the UN is participating in the H2020 project “BDE: Integrating Big Data, Software & Communities for Addressing Europe’s Societal Challenges”, funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme. BDE provides support mechanisms for all the major aspects of a data value chain, in terms of the employed data and technology assets, the participating roles and the established or evolving processes.

This webinar introduces you to the Big Data Europe (BDE) Platform (BDI), the aim of which is to make big data simpler, cheaper and more flexible than ever before. The webinar also presents the use case pilot demonstrator - VITIS, that is being developed by Agroknow with support from the BDE Horizon 2020 project. VITIS exploits core technologies for serving specific real-world problems of the Viticulture Research Community by assessing research results produced through Basic and Applied Research.
