LinkedUP Vici competition launched

The LinkedUp project has announced its third and final competition -the Vici competition. Eligible members within the AIMS Community and especially those who are from developing countries are encouraged to apply with regards to the first track. Vici invites users to design and build advanced prototypes and tools that are driven by linked and/or open data.

Vici has two tracks:-

  • Focused Track: Supporting Developing Countries. This focused track looks for applications that use and exploit linked open data as a means to support education in developing countries. 
  • Targeted Content Track: Water Resources & Ecology. This track involves enhancing journal article content along with related research statistics and datasets to assist in discovery, learning and interpretation of disparate content and data.

The Vici competition runs from 26th May 2014 till 5th September 2014. Prizes (up €3,000 for first prize) will be awarded at the 13th International Semantic Web Conference in Riva del Garda, Trento, Italy in October 2014.
