A new release of the AGROVOC Concept Server Workbench has been published!

This 0.3 Beta version is still used for testing only, but it includes all AGROVOC data. AGROVOC terms have been modularized in bilingual modules: 17 modules are currently available.

The new features of this release are the following:- Possibility to change ontology module with no need to re-login.- Display of the role or Group name next to the username.- Revised Text version of the help module.- Revised interface.- Improved performances for loading large set of data.- New permissions on display language management. (Only administrators can edit and delete languages but all the users can add new languages).- User registration is possible with the same email address used in existing accounts but with different user name.In the home page:- Recent changes display now the following activities: - new user registration - group management actions - validation accepted/rejected - export action- Glossary added to home page (not completed yet). In the Search page:- Modified search layout.- Language filter added.In the Concept page:- Legend panel added.- In right-hand view, each tab page's label indicates the number of information items present within that page.- Label added at the top of right-hand view showing which concept is currently selected. – Each concept’s term is linked to wikipedia.org in the respective language. - The concept's "History" tab and the term history tab include recent changes made for that element.-Tree browser added for selecting relationship at term level. -Definition of relationship is shown in the relationship browser. In the Relationship page:- Legend panel added.- In right-hand view, each tab page's label indicates the number of information items present within that page.- Label added at the top of right-hand view shows which relationship is currently selected. - Relationship actions (create/edit/delete) are displayed in recent changes and RSS.In the Schemes page:- Legend panel added.- In right-hand view, each tab page's label indicates the number of information items present within that page.- Label added at the top of right-hand view shows which scheme category is currently selected. - Each term entry is linked to wikipedia.org in the respective language. In the Validation page:- Validation actions are displayed in recent changes and RSS.- More user friendly validation filters.In the "User Management" and "Group Management" pages:- User and Groups Actions are displayed in recent changes and RSS.Web services have also been improved.

These can be tested from http://vivaldi.cpe.ku.ac.th:443/ACSWSClient/sampleACSWServiceProxy/TestClient.jsp. Additionally, new pages have been created for "Export", "Statistics", and "Save Preferences".

Other technical changes were made to the backbone system and no significant changes made for the Consistency page.Features suggested by the participants during the AGROVOC Concept Server Workbench Verification Phase were implemented in this release.All the new modules (OWL ontologies) related to the v 0.3 of the WB system can be found at: ftp://ftp.fao.org/gi/gil/gilws/aims/kos/agrovoc_formats/owl/concept-server-modules/v0.3. Please note that the system is still on test phase.
