Revision of the CIARD Pathways
Dear all,
During the next two weeks Franz Martin and I will work on the revision of the list of the CIARD Pathways with the objective to add, delete or simply update the topics that are currently covered. Just to remind you, the themes included in the CIARD Pathways collection are:
Group 1: Developing Institutional Readiness
- Advocacy
- Licenses
- Publishers' Policies
Group 2: Collection and Preservation
- Digitalization
- Open Access Institutional Policies
- Preservation
- Implementation of Open Repositories
Group 3: Making Content Widely Accessible on the Web
- Dissemination
- Visibility
- Service Providers
- Newsfeeds
- Social Media
- Communication
- Web 2.0
- Evaluation
We would like to do this process in collaboration with the Content Management Task Force as much as possible, therefore our proposal is to send to this list the first draft and to get feedback from all of you if possible.
Some important notes that you should know:
- in this first phase of the re-elaboration of the CIARD Pathways ONLY bibliographical resources would be considered
- our priority is to integrate as much content from the CIARD partners as possible, therefore a common taxonomy to be used by CIARD members is NECESSARY. Hugo Besemer volunteered to prepare a short concept note to introduce the CIARD taxonomy to be delivered to AIMS, CIARD and IAALD website very soon, as a first stage. The aim is to invite other CIARD members to use it in a later stage. The content to be tagged with the CIARD taxonomy shoud include news, events, blog posts or any type of document published on the websites that are related to any of the topics covered by the CIARD Pathways. The content would be showed as the latest updates in each of the CIARD pathways.
Wishing that all of you are so excited with the idea of updating the CIARD Pathways as we are!
Imma
