AIMS published in collaboration with the VOA3R project team a second special newsletter issue on the repository initiative VOA3R. It contains news, upcoming events and dissemination activities covering last year and a short interview with Ilse A. Rasmussen, administrator of Organic Eprints at the International Centre for Research in Organic Food Systems (ICROFS).

Release of VOA3R Beta Platform

Highlighted is the fact that the VOA3R Beta Platform has been released and that it provides various innovative searching options such as: Text based, Navigational, Tag cloud, Social & Author searches.

The 5th VOA3R project meeting which took place in Paris, France on May 29-31, 2012 focused on the VOA3R platform beta testing results. You can test the new features too at http://voa3r.cc.uah.es/.

VOA3R

The Virtual Open Access Agriculture & Aquaculture Repository (VOA3R) is a 3-year European project launched in June 2010 and funded by the European Commission under the seventh framework ICT Policy Support Program. It brings together 14 organizations from 10 European countries and 3 collaborators from external organizations.The VOA3R platform was developed and is currently available in a beta-version. It offers an innovative portal that brings together researchers, students and practitioners in agriculture, viticulture and aquaculture and related areas. This platform gathers 500,000 + open access resources from 14 repositories.
