DSpaceDirect is a hosted service for the DSpace repository software, the service is provided by DuraSpace.This service will allow users to create a repository hosted in the cloud that can store, manage any content or file type thereby facilitating easy searching of content by users. Repository managers will also have a possibility to customise their repository.

DSpaceDirect features

• The platform will run on the latest DSpace features, at the time of the launch DSpaceDirect will be running on DSpace version 3.0.
• Organising and managing content - The content will be arranged in a hierarchical manner and the Collections and Communities structure in DSpace will be maintained, with all documents in the collection assigned a permanent external identifier.
• Customizable Workflows - The platform will also facilitate customizable user deposit and approval workflows. The possibility of crafting ones' own workflow in submiting new deposits and assigning users rights will be guaranteed.
• Site branding - Users will also have the possibility to customise their interface to meet their own requirements.A variety of style templates are available to suit different needs and integrate visually with each organization's web-based properties.
• Usage statistics -DSpace provides its own internal usage statistics which tracks page views and downloads. In addition, if an institution has a Google Analytics account, they may choose to add Google Analytics to track their repository.
