The Mediterranean Open Access Network (MEDOANET) is carrying out surveys among research performing institutions, research funders and academic and research publishers in order to map the current situation of Open Access in terms of policies and practices in Greece, Turkey, Italy, France, Spain and Portugal.



The surveys are running from April 10th to June 10th, 2012.

The surveys

Please take part in one of the following three surveys:

• Research performing institutions
  
  This survey is designed to collect information regarding Open Access policies and Open Access repository practices and is addressed to repository operators and/or libraries of research performing institutions
• Research funders
  
  This survey is designed to obtain information regarding the Open Access policies of research funding bodies.
• Academic and research publishers
  
  This survey is designed to collect information regarding Open Access policies and publications by academic and other publishers of research.

MEDOANET

The surveys are carried out as part of the project Mediterranean Open Access Network (MEDOANET), a Coordination and Support Action project funded by the European Commission. MEDOANET addresses the need for coordinated strategies and policies in Open Access to scientific information in Europe. It will enhance existing policies, strategies and structures for Open Access and will contribute towards the implementation of new ones in six Mediterranean countries: Greece, Turkey, Italy, France, Spain and Portugal. It will also promote national and regional coordination of policies, strategies and structures in these six countries and beyond.
