The AGROVOC Thesaurus has been incorporated into the Tropes Zoom Semantic Search Engine, developed by Semantic-Knowledge, a consortium of several Europe's leading linguistic software companies. AGROVOC is a multilingual, structured and controlled vocabulary designed to cover the terminology of all subject fields in agriculture, forestry, fisheries, food and related domains (e.g. environment).

The Tropes Zoom system includes fast Natural Language Information Retrieval system, Integrated Web Spider, built-in Semantic Networks and on-the-fly Semantic classifications, among other functionalities. This work has been carried out in partnership with the CIRAD, an Agricultural Research Centre working for international development, based in Montpellier (France).
