AIMS organizes webinars on any day of the week, at 11:00 and 16:00 Rome Time, adapting to the needs of users in different countries. However, the sessions are recorded and can be viewed later. To view timetables for other countries, see Time Converter.

Who can attend?

The sessions are open to anyone but places are limited. If you are interested to attend a webinar, send an e-mail to AIMS@fao.org, containing the following information: title of the webinar, your name, affiliation, role and country.

What topics are covered?

Webinars@AIMS cover a broad range of topics of interest for information workers related to open access, open data, vocabularies, metadata, tools, Linked Data and any theme about agricultural information management. Additionally, any community member can send suggestions for new topics.

 

Next Webinar

The AIMS team is pleased to announce the webinar (in Arabic) "E-LIS: A disciplinary repository to support Agricultural Information Management Specialists"  that will take place on the 8th of May, 16:00 Rome time.

The objective of this webinar is to give an introduction to the E-LIS Repository and its functions. E-LIS is the largest international document repository for full text scientific papers in Library and Information Science. E-LIS is organised, managed and maintained by an international voluntary team of information managers.

The webinar addresses libraries interested in open access, librarians, (agricultural) researchers, information management specialists, software developers, (agricultural) journal editors, related data providers and other interested people.

Who organizes them?

Institutional members of the CIARD movement sponsor the Webinars@AIMS with the collaboration of the AIMS Editorial Team. So far the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) and the International Association of Agricultural Information Specialists (IAALD) have delivered online seminars.
